Marketing & Events Manager

Edge Innovation is growing and we are looking to recruit a new Marketing & Events Manager. This role is crucial in promoting our innovation work to public and private sector audiences, as well as running workshops and events. Key aspects of the role are:

  • Development and implementation of marketing strategy to support our medium-term objectives
  • Responsibility for the full marketing mix, including assets, web and social media channels
  • Delivery of project-specific workshops and events, working in partnership with our design and innovation experts
  • Development and delivery of the high profile Grow Tees Valley Conference, attracting over 200 businesses to the Riverside Stadium in autumn 2022

Required knowledge and experience

To be successful in this role, you'll need to be able to take overall responsibility for all our marketing and events work, which means bringing:

  • a track record of successful delivery of externally-focused marketing activities, ideally with a business audience
  • experience in delivering events, including larger, more complex events
  • knowledge across the marketing mix, including digital channels
  • a positive attitude to partnership working, both internally and externally

What we're offering

This role is initially home-based, although we are in the process of securing an office base in the North East of England. We also have access to co-working spaces to be able to meet and collaborate across our team.

Salary: £35,000 pro rata

Hours of work: part time or full time options available (minimum 3 days per week)

Flexible working options available (such as reduced hours in school holidays and flexible working patterns)
