The course is designed for professionals within the corporate, private and public sectors looking to create a practical understanding of design-led thinking and how to apply it. Our hands-on course will enable you to experience design thinking in action utilising key principles and methods. You will also have the opportunity to use our specialist design innovation tools, processes and systems to realise better products and solutions, faster, through an approach which puts people at the heart of design.
An introduction to the discovery phase of the double diamond process. This phase is about learning as much as we can about the user's problem, identifying a diverse set of challenges that we could respond to, observing the user and understanding their current journey.
An introduction to the define stage. This phase is about grouping, summarising and prioritising the problems we want to address. We’ll also look at reframing the problem from the perspectives of people, technology and finance in order to develop a robust brief.
An introduction to the develop stage. This phase is about responding to the brief that we defined in the previous session. Here we’ll look at the problem from different perspectives in order to identify where the opportunities are, come up with a range of diverse ideas to respond to those opportunities, before objectively prioritising ideas and developing the strongest ones further.
An introduction to the deliver stage. This phase is about identifying the best possible solutions for each of the problems identified during the first three stages. The solutions are implemented within the prototypes then investigated based on the users’ experiences.
